At Handler Protect, their philosophy is to offer a warranty package that is transparent, fair and cost effective. The warranty options available are designed to suit your financial and protection requirements, helping to protect you in the event of a valid mechanical or electrical failure.

Electrics

Alternator, electric window motors, engine cooling fan motors, horn, indicator flasher relay, starter motor and sunroof motor/hydraulics.

Electronic Control Units & Computers

The engine management ECU / engine ECU only. Upgraded or revised software, firmware, patches, updates, and retro-fitted ECUs or computers are not covered.

Braking System

Anti-lock braking system pump and control unit, calipers, master and wheel cylinders, pressure reducing and proportioning valves, and vacuum components.

Casings

Casings are covered provided they have been damaged as a direct result of the failure of a covered component.

Clutch

Clutch cable, master and slave hydraulic cylinders, and pedal assembly.

Cooling Systems

Engine cooling water radiator, heater radiator, thermostat and housing, viscous cooling fan couplings, and water pump.

Engine

All internally lubricated parts including camshafts and bearings, camshaft followers and rockers, connecting rods and bearings, crankshaft and bearings, cylinder block, cylinder bores, liners and seals, internal bushings and bearings, oil pump and drive, pistons and rings, timing gears, chain, tensioner, valves, springs and guides.

Also covered: crankshaft pulley and cylinder head gasket. Camshaft drive belts and tensioners are covered subject to documented proof of replacement in line with the manufacturer’s recommended servicing schedule.

Flywheels & Drive Plates

Flexible drive plate for automatic transmissions, solid and dual mass flywheels, and starter ring gear. Flywheels damaged by clutch friction plates are not covered.

Fuel System

Airflow sensors and meters, fuel gauge sender unit, fuel pressure regulators and accumulators, fuel pumps including pre-pumps, low and high-pressure pumps, injection pumps, and injectors.

Gearboxes

Includes automated manual gearboxes, automatic gearboxes, four-wheel drive transfer gearboxes, hybrid transaxles, manual gearboxes and transaxles. Covered parts include transmission brake bands, clutches, modulator valves, drive chains, gear lever, gears, internal servos, valve blocks, bearings, bushes, oil pumps, selector forks, shafts, synchromesh hubs and rings, and torque converter.

Ignition System

Camshaft sensors, crankshaft sensors and ignition components.

Oil Seals & Gaskets

The engine crankshaft rear oil seal and main gearbox input shaft oil seal are covered. Other oil seals and gaskets are covered where removal of the engine, gearbox or final drive unit is required, subject to the oil leak being sufficiently advanced that oil can be seen dripping.

Steering Column

Shaft, tilt mechanism and couplings, hydraulic pumps, reservoir and pressure pipes, steering and idler boxes, rack and pinion assembly, track rods and track rod ends.

Suspension

Wheel bearings.

Transmissions

Front, centre and rear differentials, front and rear live axles, drive shafts, constant velocity joints, crown wheels and pinions, differential gears, external drive shafts, internal bushes and bearings, shafts, propeller shafts, couplings, centre bearings and universal joints.

Turbocharger

Turbocharger units.
